Our Horizons season invited our audience to reflect on the paths we’ve traveled, the communities that sustain us, and the possibilities that lie ahead. Through thoughtfully curated programs of exceptional choral music, the Laguna Beach Chamber Singers explored themes of healing, joy, environmental responsibility, and shared wisdom. This season offered moments of beauty and introspection, celebrating the connections we have with one another and with the world around us, which help us navigate toward new horizons.

Waters of Comfort

The season opened with Waters of Comfort, a collaboration with the Choir of St. Wilfrid’s of York, featuring John Rutter’s Requiem. This program offered music of healing and peace, providing space to reflect on loss, remembrance, and renewal.

Tidings by the Sea

Our holiday concert, Tidings by the Sea, featured festive a cappella music at the Laguna Art Museum and St. Wilfrid’s of York in Huntington Beach. Surrounded by art and ocean, we shared songs of joy and wonder, blending timeless traditions with contemporary choral works.

A Passion for the Planet

In the spring, A Passion for the Planet focused on our connection to the natural world and our shared responsibility to protect it. Through music that honored both the beauty and fragility of our environment, we reflected on our deep ties to the Earth and the future we shape together. As part of this experience, a special ticket option included concert admission, a donation to the Laguna Beach Chamber Singers, and funded the planting of 10 trees in U.S. locations of critical need through the Arbor Day Foundation.

It Takes a Village

We closed the season with It Takes a Village, a Mother’s Day weekend performance celebrating the lessons and love passed down through generations. Featuring a collaboration with the Laguna Hills High School Chamber Choir under the direction of Mr. James Atkins, this inspiring program honored the wisdom we inherit from mothers, communities, and nature, inviting audiences to reflect on the people who shape our lives and the legacy we leave for future generations.
